Provides core knowledge of biological, chemical and physical processes in soils, and how these influence environmental quality and global sustainability. (Housed within Environmental Science program but available to students in other degree programs.)

Highlights: Requires 34 credit hours, consisting of introductory Biology and Chemistry prerequisites, ENSC 325-3, ENSC 435-3, ENSC 460-3, FSTY 205-3, FSTY 425-3, plus 3 credit hours of electives.
